Raising Gospel Musician, Kyei Mensah claims he is not the typical Ghanaian gospel artiste as most people will expect him to be.
” I’m not your traditional gospel musician,” he said during a live interview on Tv Africa’s morning breakfast show.
Treating viewers at home with his soothing and melodies voice alongside his rhythmic guitar cords as he performed on live Tv.
He said, even though most people would stereotypically expect him to look and sound a certain way he has decided to be himself which explains his very casual look.
The Guitarist who was dressed in a white Lacoste top over a dark wash jeans trousers and a pair of all-stars black sneakers as if to match explained that, the typical gospel act here in Ghana is the one in the African Prints shirts and the Long Sleeve shirts and the all suited up very religious musician.
however, he acknowledged the fact that even though it’s not bad to be suited up and look all formal he believes he is more comfortable and more close to the people who he sings to looking casual and simple.
With his current single ” Nyame Berkyere which seems to be doing well so far, Kyei hopes to release more inspirational songs and has revealed he is cooking something for Christmas.
The Singer was given an opportunity to perform live on the show and also had callers call in on the show to challenge him to do a rendition of their favorite gospel songs.
He added that he is signed on Pitch Bend Musiq which is owned by Stanley Adjetey, an Award winning videographer who has shot videos for the likes of Wiyaala, Kwabena Kwabena and many others.
